Jay Beetie
James is currently in the new west end production of Carousel. Other performing credits include; “Anything Goes” National Tour, “A Chorus Line” Sheffield Crucible, “Our House” West End (Best Musical 2003 Olivier Awards), “West Side Story” National Tour, “The Nocky” & “Shades” West End, “Corialanus” & “The Winters Tale” (English Shakespeare Company) Liverpool Empire, & the role of “Pinocchio” Neptune Theatre, Liverpool. In 2007, James was Assistant Director in a new stadium production of “West Side Story” in Cyprus. In the West End, he Choreographed a showcase of the new musical “Jason and the Argonauts” and assisted in the casting for “Bat Boy” and “Billy Elliott”.
With his company Prometheus, James Produced and Directed “A New Routine” a tap musical at the Edinburgh Festival. He has been employed as a Lecturer, Director, Musical Director and Choreographer at some of the country’s finest training institutions, including; LIPA, East15 Acting School, University of Essex, The Actor Works, The Academy Drama School, London Theatre School, Pineapple Studios, Colin’s Performing Arts, Academy Arts London, Blackpool & the Fylde college, Liverpool Theatre School.
TV credits; “Mud”, voice of ‘Parsnip the Rabbit’ in “Playdays” and commercials for Ariel, Danone, DFS, Kellogs, McDonalds and Warburtons.
